68th Annual Grand Detour Arts Festival

On Sunday, September 11, 2016 from 9 am to 4 pm (rain or shine), the 68th Annual Grand Detour Arts Festival will be held at the John Deere Historic Site, Route 2, Grand Detour, Dixon, IL. This is one of the oldest art fairs in Illinois with painters, sculptors, crafters and blacksmith demonstrations.  There will also be live music, food vendors and kettle korn.  Admission is $3 or a non-perishable food donation for the Dixon Food Pantry.

Meet at the Franklin Creek Grist Mill, 1893 Twist Road, Franklin Grove, IL at 9:00 am and get ready for a lesson in geology!  For starters, Franklin Creek State Natural Area has the oldest exposed bedrock in Illinois.  At 500 Million years old, the New Richmond Sandstone is remarkable. Please dress accordingly! Dates of these walks are:  May 28th, June 25th, July 30th, August 27th, September 24th, and October 29th.

Amboy Christmas Walk & Events at the Amboy Depot Museum
